“Fashion is the ultimate artistic expression of indiviual style” , which means fashion gives you the chance to express yourself by the way you dress. The way you appear says alot about yourself. Fashion is a form of art because you sketch something and design it. Its like sculpting your own craft. By examining issues such as: level of education needed skills required; salary; benefits job outlook and availability ; personal fufillment and the connection between my career and High School , I find myself to be highly suited to a career in fashion design.

Being a fashion designer is a very fast- paced job. You have to keep up with fashion trends , keep your clients/customers happy and your buisness running. A typical day for me is studying fashion trends sketching designs and sewing garments. The type of work enviornment for me will be in my shop in one of the fashion capitals.  Staying in my shop late hours , poking myself with needles are just the simple things I will have to deal with in order to become a sucessful  fashion designer.

To achieve my goal I need to have a great education. Education comes first. I need to get a asscoiates or bachelor degree in fashion merchandising. Being that I want to start a business I will be going to school for fashion merchandising , or marketing. The certain skills I need to learn are patchworking and sewing skills. During college I will intern with a fashion designer to learn from them. After college I will probably start of as being a buyer for a major store and start working on my own business. The future colllege I am looking at now is Academy of Art in California.

Owning a buisness has alot of money benefits , such as making your own money on your own time. Self employed fashion designers must provide thier own benefits. Depending on your experience determines your salary benefits. There is a lot of compettion being in the fashion world. You are constantly competing againist other designers to make sure your buisness excels against the rest. Im up for that challenge.

This is the right career for me. It fits my personality perfectly. I have a postive attitude and I am willing to work extra hard to become a fashionn designer. I have  good people skills , which is good because I will have to interact with a lot of people. I also know how to solve problems that come along. The skills I have are sketching , matching colors and an eye for fashion.

To conclude I will take all steps necessary to become a fashion designer. To do so I need to get a good education and learn from everyone I can. I cant wait till I start my buisness. You’ll be shoping for your kids at my store in the future. Look out for it : )

Out of the 3 skills I choose , I think the most important skill is the ability to write and speak well. You need to be able to communicate with others and have great speaking skills. My buisness will be a fashion buisness , where I as a designer , design clothes. I am going to need to know how to talk with others so I can hire employees and have alot of clients.   As far as writing , I will need to know how to advertise my fashion line. I am an friendly person therefore this part of the job wont be hard.

The second skill I have is the abilty to work well in teams. In the career of buisness you will interact with a variety of differnt people , expesically in fashion. From clients , to the models , to fashion designers you need to know how to work with people. If you want a sucessful buisness you have to have good team work . A buisness should be ran with more than one person. You also have to have great relationships with the people you work with. Since I am good with working with other people I will enjoy this part of being a business.

 The ability to solve problems is also  key.  If something wrong happens with the business , I am going to need to know how to solve that  problem, so that my business keeps running well. I like solving problems and succeeding with what I do to fix them.

The skill that I would like to be better in is , the ability to understand numbers and statistics. I want to improve in my math skills because  in the career of business you are going to need to know how to work well with money , savings etc. You also are going to need to understand statistics because you need to know the competition your up against in your business.

What stood out the most to me about this article is that there is seven entries on one topic. It gives you a lot  different scenarios of violence in schools and that is what I like most about this article. The writers who wrote this really took their time and have a lot of research and background knowledge on violence in schools. What also stands out to me is that there is so much violence going on in schools, the statiscs say it all. I am grateful that my school is a safe environment to me and little to none violence goes on here.

I think this is  important for our school district to address because parents need to be aware of what is going on in schools. When you are sending your child off to school you want them to be secure and have a safe environment to learn in. The school district has to announce the flaws in schools in order for schools to improve. If the community knows about violence in schools they can take part on making our schools better. Things such as volunteering and such.  

The suggestions I have on reducing school violence is having more mentors in school.  People who are involved in violence such as bullying might have something going on at home that  makes them take their anger on one specific person or even a group of people . A mentor can help students with these problems express their feelings verbally rather than physically. You can also do things to prevent violence like hire more security guards that can watch over students and protect them. There are a number of things you can do to at least try to reduce violence in schools.

I havent had to many experiences with violence in schools. Ive seen alot in the news. But the most physical fights Ive seen in a school enviornment is maybe 5 , and not all at one school. I went to a charter school for middle school so there wasnt much you could do with out getting caught.

I rate this book a ten because it is an amazinggggg book !!! I loved it , It was my favorite book I’ve read yet while doing monthly book club. It was full of suspense. It was kind of a mystery. I really enjoy mysteries. I would definitely recommend this to anyone willing to read it.
